All our sabra cushions are handwoven by skilled women artisans in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco, using traditional wooden looms in their own homes. This time-honored craft, passed down from mother to daughter over many centuries, requires at least a day of intricate weaving. The motifs on the pillow cover are inspired by our own design and reflect the traditional symbols cherished by tribal women from the Atlas Mountains of Morocco. Each cushion is crafted from natural and eco-friendly cactus silk. The fibers are carefully collected from the aloe vera plant, spun into silk thread, and woven to create a luxurious fabric. The thread is then dyed in various beautiful colors, and the pillow is meticulously hand-loomed. Finally, the pillow is washed and dried under the sun, acquiring a unique and burnished character, transforming it into a true piece of art.
